Five feisty Ancient Greek women. Tired of sitting on the sidelines. Kicking down doors to be heard. Ready to meet them?

Production image from 'the Heroines'. Group of women on stage, with one woman in the center with her arms raised above her head, others surrounding her, all dressed in white costumes. Text overlay reads, "The choreography was just astonishing."

Meet Hypermnestra, Oenone, Ariadne, Laodamia and Phillis. You've heard of them right? No! What about Paris, Theseus, Hercules, Jason?

Tired of being just a footnote in the swaggering epic tales of these “Great" heroes, the Heroines are loud, proud and ready to take centre stage. Princesses, Queens, Nymphs, Politicians and Pioneers, they are grabbing the spotlight to show you that their stories, women's stories, are worth more than the two lines they were originally assigned.

This show portrays five mesmerising stories, delving into the death of a beloved brother, abandoned by a lover, finding hope for a better future in an arranged marriage, the worry of losing your soulmate to war and trying to hold your country together at a time of political turmoil.

Perfect for fans of Madeline Miller, Natalie Haynes and Pat Barker.
